As part of the overall picture for this site. I list a couple of additional sites that may prove of interest.
My daughter Nicky and her husband David Rawlings found it necessary to go through the Adelaide IVF program to conceive children. David (who is a journalist) found no literary assistance anywhere that was directed to men in this situation. Much was written for the woman – but nothing from a man’s perspective. He (c0-)wrote a book to address this situation. See Swimming Upstream
My husband, Trevor Francis, converted many years of his sister’s family research into book form. Vonda, his sister, had spent about 25 years researching the history of both her father and mother’s family lines. The psperwork almost covered 3 walls of a small room. The document Trevor produced is an A4 size book with over 300 pages complete with descendant charts, pictures, wills and stories. An overview of the families presented in the book can be found at the web site From Isles to Island.
Another site is that of my son’s father-in-law, Geoff Heapy. Geoff has also received assistance in creating this site from his daughter ( – as have I) .
Also, another site relevant to the family is that of Andrew and Roslyn Mathie. Roslyn is my niece by marriage. She married Andrew and together they have an upmarket furniture manufacturing company, based in Kangarilla in South Australia.
